Shampooing – One should use the shampoo which suits his or her hair type. Dry, oily and combination hairs require different shampoo types. It is essential to shampoo one’s hair every alternate day. If you have dry hair, just massage it with hot oil before shampooing. Do not forget to use a conditioner after shampooing. While shampooing, make small circular motions on the scalp with fingertips to ensure good blood flow.
Breakage and hair loss – Wet your hair thoroughly before shampooing to minimise hair loss. Also do not use accessories that can damage one’s hair. Use only the accessories that are manufactured by reputed brands.
Rinse – One should never use hot water for rinsing the hair as it strips the hair of natural oils. Just use mild or lukewarm water for the same. Use cold water when rinsing for the last time to get good results. Some people also recommend using beer or apple cider vinegar for that last rinse to get glossy locks.
Hair Dryers – Do not use a hair dryer or straightener as it can damage the hair. You should never rub your hair with a towel. Just wrap it around the hair to absorb moisture. Also use argan oil which can be applied to the hair before the straightening process
Brush the hair – Brush your hair soon after you get up in the morning to keep it tangle free. Brushes also distribute natural oils evenly which can give a healthy shine to the hair. Use a soft bristled brush and do it gently. Comb or brush your hair before taking a shower to reduce knots and hair breakage later on.
Styling – Style your hair using a brush or comb every day as this can increase blood flow to the hair. One should do this gently again. Do not pull or tug at the hair unnecessarily as it can lead to breakage and hair fall. Cover the hair when going out in the sun as it can lead to dryness and damage of the hair.
